Have you seen the movie adaptation yet? Which do you prefer: the book or the movie?

Summary: After a tragic accident, Dr. Anna Fox is now agoraphobic—she fears the outside and remains inside the safe confines of her home. One day, Anna befriends a woman by the name of Jane Russell, and they spend a chess-filled, wine-to-the-brim hell of a night at her home. Several days later, Anna is looking out her window watching her neighbors (a regular pastime), when she suddenly witnesses a murder—of Jane Russell. After contacting the police, the strangest thing occurs: Jane Russell walks into the room, but something is off. It’s not the same woman.

Rating: 5 out of 5 - While reading this book, I had to take momentary pauses to brace myself for what came next. A. J. Finn (pen name) masterfully constructs this fast-paced yet intricate thriller. Right from the beginning, predictions were firing off, yet the whole read was anything but predictable. The layers of allusions to films were cleverly connected to the plot as well, which I didn’t realize till further into the book. The ending was unexpected—almost unbelievable at first—but nevertheless I loved how everything came together in the end. — @LisaStoried
