Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Friends, singles, lovers, and family are all planning what their February 14th events are going to be. Whether it entails a cute date in the city, a picnic in the park, or even a movie night in bed, reading a book is always the perfect go-to.
If reading sounds like the plan for you, then tune in to these three books that I recommend reading with your special someone this Valentine’s day.
(Purchase 'Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch' Today)
The first book on the list is one that people of all ages can appreciate. Eileen Spinelli’s children's book titled Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch is a heartwarming story that focuses on appreciating kindness and spreading it to others. Mr. Hatch is a lonely man that lives a simple life and is known to keep to himself most of the time. One day, he unexpectedly receives a Valentine’s Day gift and it sparks so much joy that his demeanor completely changes. His newly outgoing personality lights up his community and he starts spreading acts of kindness everywhere he goes. However, Mr. Hatch’s happiness is cut short when the mailman comes back to his door and lets him know that the gift was delivered to the wrong address. While this event breaks Mr. Hatch’s heart, his community does something special for him that surprised him even more than the gift did in the first place.
(Purchase 'Wait for You' Today)
The second book is one for readers who like stories that tug at their heartstrings. The contemporary romance novel Wait For You, written by Jennifer L. Armentrout, is about nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten and her efforts in escaping a terrible past by moving thousands of miles away for college. She is trying to lay low, get an education, and hopefully make some new friends along the way. However, she unexpectedly meets a six-foot hottie whose dimples are to die for. As she is trying to start life over and silence her past, she starts to receive threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face exactly what she’s been running away from. Can she continue to hide away from this, or will she have to confide in her newly found friend who she might be falling super hard for?
(Purchase 'My Life Next Door' Today)
The last book recommendation is one for those who adore a cute sappy love story with a major plot twist at the end. Huntley Fitzpatrick’s book My Life Next Door is about the unravelment of Samantha Reed and Jace Garretts’ forbidden love story. Samantha’s mother is not the biggest fan of the Garretts' household because of their messy, noisy, and affectionate ways of living. While Samantha is embraced by Garretts' family, she keeps him as a secret from hers. As we watch these two fall in love for the first time, something unthinkable happens and Samantha’s world is turned upside down. She now faces a difficult decision. Which family will save her? Or is it time that she learned how to save herself?
